Background area of the upazila administration
After the launch of the Kaptai Hydraulic Project in 1960, the huge area of the upazila turned into a lake submerged. After the announcement of the hill region in 1860, Langdoo was one of the many thanas established in 1860 to protect law and order in the hill area.Later Langga thana, on November 7, 1982, the quality of the upazila was upgraded.
