Geographic contact:
Rangamati, Bandarban and Khagrachari districts were declared "Chittagong Hill Tracts District" during the British rule in 1860. Prior to the announcement of the district was known as "kapas mahal". Rangamati district consists of 10 upazilas. Langgun upazila consists of one upazila. It is located at a distance of 76 km north of the district headquarters. Dighinala upazila on the north, rangamati sadar upazila and barkal upazilas on the south, barkal upazila on the east, and mahalchhari upazila of Khagrachari district in the nanirchar and west of the Baghaichhari upazila and Khagrachari district on the north.
